Intending on setting sail to Ibiza for the closing parties or a last minute holiday?
Not sure your preppy attire is suitable for the bohemian holiday that awaits you? Don’t panic! We have got it figured out for you whether you are going for a soft relaxed holiday or a full-blown fiesta.
Remember colour is key so don’t hesitate to pack your brights. Ibiza is all about over doing the ethnic accessories! When on an island where most people will be dressed in weirder clothes than you are, it’s your perfect opportunity to be creative. All hail the head gear! Turbans, flower crowns, hats, head scarves!
After my 5th consecutive year of traveling there I decided to use my biggest Ibiza style crush Ginevra as my model. She is super relaxed in terms of fashion.
We pulled together two perfect looks for you to copy.
Ibiza by day:
Think hippie chic!
Team a one piece macramé swimsuit with a ripped pair of denim shorts. Layer with a fringed jacket or kimono. Opt for a pair of western booties or slouch boots to add an edge to your style. Finish off the look with a head scarf of turban and a pair of quirky shades. As for you go natural, beach hair and minimal to no make up. If you can’t go without make up then channel the 70’s glamour girl which is a minimal skin with a sunkissed glow.
Ibiza by night:
Dinner on the beach or dancing in the moonlight- this versatile look will take you from aperitivo at sunset ashram to the early hours of the morning at Pacha’s flower power. Pair a lace bralet (this style is currently available at Topshop) with a colourful hanki hem, asymmetric skirt. Create yourself a head piece, flowers or a head scarf or both and finish up with a statement piece of jewelery.
Now get packing and have a blast!
