It is never too early to start thinking about “festival fashion” especially with Coachella (the king of all festivals) fast approaching and as majority of you will be travelling there it’s time to get your thinking caps on.

Needless to say partying in the California desert can get quite hot, so you need to bare that in mind when packing.

Festival attire has today earned it’s own spot in our wardrobe. From cowboy boots, lace maxi dresses, fringed bikini’s, E-Kat suits to Bless The Mess blazers, it’s all go.

For the avid fashionistas now is your time to get creative. All is permitted as long it suits your figure. If on the other hand you want to play it safe we suggest a pair of ripped denim shorts and a printed kimono back with a pair of Isabel Marant type booties finish off the look with a cross body bag. Hands free is the way to go if you want to wave your hands in the air to the sound of your favourite band.

It is always important to take into consideration the changing temperatures as it might go from scorching during the day to quite nippy at night. Therefore we advise you bring some layers and also a light weight scarf.  This scarf will most likely become your best friend during your trip as it’s versatility knows no ends. It can be worn as hair accessory during the day to avoid the painful sun stroke, to an added layer over your shoulders when it gets cold and also a picnic blanket to avoid sitting on cigarette ends.

Another few pointers you should consider before setting off is to get some cash out, the last thing you want is to stand in a queue for hours to get some money out for food and drinks. That’s not to mention the extortionate withdrawal fees you are likely to encounter.

Don’t forget to stay hydrated! Drink loads of water, you don’t want to be ‘that’ girl that ends up on a stretcher.

Last but not least, before you set off go through your check list.. This should include the following:

Your tickets ( it would suck to get there to realise you forgot your tickets at home)

A pair of sunnies ( Squinting never did us any favours.. Wrinkles stay away!!)

Sunscreen ( because no one has ever looked good with a sunburn)

Plasters in case of an emergency

Tissues (you never know when you might need to use the ladies)

Now that you know what to wear to Coachella, we wish you a fantastic time!
